(Starting with seat 1 and going in order)
It's always a notable hand when "Big Poppa" Doyle Brunson is involved, and in the fifth episode of the seventh season of High Stakes Poker, he got all his chips in the middle in a hand with Vanessa Selbst. David Peat had straddled the action up to $1,600, and Brunson was UTG with the eight-seven of diamonds and popped it up to $5,100. Selbst woke up next to him with big slick offsuit, and reraised to $14,000, which netted a call from Brunson.
The flop was huge for both players; king-eight-deuce, two diamonds, giving Selbst top pair and Brunson a huge combo draw. They both somewhat surprisingly checked to the turn, which brought the jack of hearts. Brunson checked again, prompting Selbst to fire $17,400 into the $31,000+ pot. After a very short speech, Brunson shoved his entire $55,300 in the middle, getting a quick call from Selbst.
They elected to run the river twice, but Brunson and his 32% hand were unable to get any help when a four of clubs and an ace of hearts hit the felt, giving the $142,200 pot to Selbst.
