Posted: September 9th, 2013

Sky Poker Magnificent 7There is some mighty big news on the tournament front in this week’s look around the world of online poker.

Not only is the 2013 PokerStars WCOOP now underway, but Sky Poker has also revamped their nightly tournament schedule and launched a cool new promotion to celebrate the changes.

In this column we’ll get you up to speed on all of this tournament news as well as the recent update to the new Party Poker software, Bet365’s “One Wallet” cashier, and so much more.

Party Poker/bWin’s New Software Update Revealed

After some early glitches it seems that most of the wrinkles have been ironed out, and Party Poker’s latest software overhaul is now up and running on all cylinders, including on their bwin Poker skin.

The “new” Party Poker, which features a number of enhancements, a sleek new design, and integration with social media networks, was launched with a one-minute teaser this week, which does a much better job explaining the “new” Party Poker in a one-minute video than I could in 5,000 words:

For more information on the upgrades you can visit, which has an excellent “Cliffs Notes” write-up on the Party Poker upgrades.

And what better way to test the new software than by using bWin’s $50 no deposit bankroll promotion.

Bet365 Poker’s “One Wallet”

If you are a customer of Bet365 (Poker, Casino, Sports-Book, or even Bingo) you can take advantage of the site’s “One Wallet” cashier, which allows users to quickly transfer funds from the casino to the poker room, or from the poker room to the bingo parlor, or any combination of Bet365’s offerings.

Using the “One Wallet” system is extremely easy, and allows you to use the same username, password, and cashier for all of your Bet365 iGaming needs.

You can fund your Bet365 “One Wallet” account by taking advantage of Bet365’s instant $5 bankroll.

Beginning on Monday, September 9, Sky Poker will be running its Magnificent 7 promotion.

So what is the Magnificent 7? No, Sky Poker hasn’t signed Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach and Steve McQueen (Google it if you don’t know what I’m talking about), and you’re not greeted by a Clash song when you visit the site (once again Google it if you don’t get the reference).

Each night will start with a freeroll tournament, followed by a £22 buy-in “timed tournament”, before getting into the Main and Mini-Main events –which will vary depending on the day of the week.
